A boy from Dublin, a girl by the sea, and one very big party in Jaipur. Turn the sound on.
The celebrations
Four celebrations in the Pink City
A few favourite moments
Us, lately
A boy from Dublin, a girl by the seaside, and a lot of jumping for joy.

Chapter one
This is Aman
Raised on cobbled streets and the occasional pint of the black stuff, Aman grew up in Dublin with a Punjabi heart and an Irish sense of humour.

Chapter two
This is Ashmeet
Sunsets, sea air and a smile that lights up every room. Ashmeet grew up by the coast, never far from the water.

Chapter three
They fell in love
It started on Hinge in the summer of 2023, when Ash sent the first message: “Is that Madrid?”
Our first date was on a Monday at King’s Cross. Ash had just stepped off a two-hour train back from Paris, suitcase in hand and looking unbelievably beautiful. Aman had rushed over from “work”, which meant working from home in his pyjamas. We found a cosy bar and talked for hours about our families, growing up, our jobs, Punjabi culture and our favourite songs. Ash judged Aman’s music taste. A lot.
Date two was at Manteca, Aman’s favourite Italian in London. Ash was fifteen minutes late, and Aman was quietly convinced he’d been stood up.
The week after was Aman’s birthday. Ash came all the way to London to spend it with him, then left his birthday cake in her car. The next day she sent him a photo of her and her roommates happily eating it. That’s when Aman knew she was the one.
In September 2025 Aman moved to Boston for his MBA, and we’ve been long distance ever since, held together by a phone call almost every single day.

Chapter four
The proposal & the Roka
On Bastille Day in Paris, Aman hired a private boat to take us up the Seine for the fireworks. Halfway through, with the sky lighting up above us, he got down on one knee.
Ash had already guessed it was coming, because Aman cannot hide anything. So instead of answering, she just laughed at him. After a long pause, he asked, “Is that a yes?” She finally said yes.
Then came the Roka: the two families came together to bless us, and it became official, with cake.

Chapter five
Why Jaipur?
Pink walls, palace arches, marigolds and the warmest welcome in Rajasthan. We wanted a place as colourful as the people we love, so we're bringing everyone to the Pink City.

Everything in order, from your arrival in Jaipur to the farewell.
Timings may shift a little as plans come together. We'll keep this page up to date.
A destination wedding starts with the journey. Here's everything you need to get to Jaipur and settle in.
Our suggestion
Arrive on 1 April, explore Jaipur, then join us at the Leela on the 2nd
We advise arriving on Thursday 1 April and staying that night in the city, so you can see a little of Jaipur. Then check in at The Leela Palace on the morning of Friday 2 April, in time for lunch at 12pm and the Haldi. Check-out is on Sunday 4 April.
Flying in
Jaipur International Airport (JAI)
- The most convenient airport for the wedding.
- Few international routes fly direct, so most guests connect through Delhi (DEL) or Mumbai (BOM).
- From Delhi you can take a short domestic flight (about 1 hour) or drive (around 5 hours).
- Leave plenty of time between connecting flights, especially if you need to change terminals in Delhi.
Before you fly
Visa & passport
- Most international visitors need a visa or e-Visa for India. Rules depend on your nationality.
- Apply well ahead through the official Indian e-Visa site only. Avoid look-alike agency sites.
- Check your passport is valid for at least 6 months after arrival and has blank pages.
Our wedding hotel
The Leela Palace Jaipur
Our home for the whole celebration. Most functions are held right here, so once you've checked in, you're where the party is.

Room rate
We've arranged a special wedding rate. Please contact Aman directly to book.
Check-in / out
Check in at the Leela on the morning of Friday 2 April; check out on Sunday 4 April. Exact times to follow.TBC

DoubleTree by Hilton Jaipur Amer
Right across the road from The Leela on the Delhi highway at Kukas, so it's an easy option for the night before the Haldi. Just bear in mind it's about an hour from the city, so you'll see less of Jaipur.

Airport transfers
Getting from JAI to the Leela
Airport transfers aren't arranged as part of the wedding, but getting to the hotel is easy. Our wedding team is happy to help before you travel.
Inside arrivals. Pay a fixed fare upfront at the counter. The simplest option after a long flight.
Works in Jaipur, including airport pick-ups. Follow the in-app signs to the pick-up zone.
India's big ride-hailing app. Cabs and autos. Needs an app account, so set it up before you fly.
Budget cabs, autos and bike taxis. Handy for short hops around the city.
The Leela can arrange a car to meet you at arrivals. Book directly with the hotel.
Getting around during the weekend: Uber and Ola work across Jaipur, and the hotel concierge can book drivers for sightseeing days. For the Anand Karaj, please use the wedding coaches where you can so we all arrive together.
We'd love you to embrace the colour of an Indian wedding, but you don't need Indian clothes. Wear what makes you feel good and fits the mood of each event.

A little tip: bargaining is normal in traditional markets. Boutiques and bigger stores have fixed prices.
Good to know
A few Jaipur tips
- April is hot. Sightsee early and carry water, sunglasses and sunscreen.
- Carry some rupees for markets. Cards work in hotels and bigger shops.
- Dress respectfully at temples and follow any rules on shoes and photos.
Worth the trip
Tiger safari at Ranthambore
Ranthambore National Park is one of the best places in India to see wild Bengal tigers, along with leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles and deer, around a 10th-century fort. It's about 180 km south-east of Jaipur, roughly 3–3.5 hours by car or by train to Sawai Madhopur.
- Make it an overnight trip before or after the wedding. Arrive the evening before and do a morning safari.
- Safaris run twice a day, early morning and afternoon, for about 3 hours, in a 6-seat jeep (Gypsy) or a 20-seat open canter.
- April is a good time to go: animals gather near the water. It's hot, so take a hat and water.
- Book well ahead through the Rajasthan Forest Department's official booking or a trusted hotel. Zones are assigned for you.
- Sightings are never guaranteed. Two safaris give you the best chance.
Eat
Rajasthani favourites
Rajasthan's best-known traditional dish.
A crispy savoury snack and a Jaipur favourite.
A honeycomb-like Rajasthani sweet. Definitely try it.
Rich, fiery mutton curry for those who like heat.
And don't worry about going hungry at the wedding. There'll be plenty of food!
Most importantly, enjoy Jaipur!
